Job Title: Materials Manager Department: Mfg.
Management Reports to: Sr.
Supply Chain Manager FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY Provides direct supervision of the materials workgroup in performing a wide variety of materials management job duties.
Responsible for determining priorities and organize work assignments.
Maintains workflow and monitors the day-to-day activities associated with inbound and outbound flow of materials, warehouse management, inventory control and compliance.
Ensures that proper documentation is accurate of all logistical transactions.
Ensures that all safety practices, and housekeeping procedures are maintained and followed within the responsible areas.
Trains new and less experienced personnel or where it is determined it is required to the standard operating procedures and work instructions provided for the materials group.
Ensures all training records are complete and up to date within the materials group.
Will also assist the Sr.
Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day operations of the department.

Supervisory Responsibilities - Yes Duties Determines and delegates day-to-day priorities and work assignments.
Works with Senior Supply Chain Manager in improving processes, procedure, and the overall day-to-day performance of the Materials group.
Ensures proper SOPs and work instructions are in place to support material control and that the Materials group SOPs, processes, and procedures are followed.
Ensures that all KPI’s are being met and determine the corrective action when they are not.
Hires, trains, and supervises materials personnel.
Performs performance evaluations on a timely basis.
Coach employees and ensure corrective disciplinary action is processed.
Trains the materials group to SOPs, processes, and procedures.
Works closely with Support Operations, Customer Operations, Production, Purchasing and Planning to ensure material systems and group performance complement company requirements.

General Qualifications: Demonstrated computer skills necessary to support ERP and other material process administration systems.
Ensures that processes are system driven within the ERP system.
Project Management skills are essential along with Lean Manufacturing and Lean Process Improvement.
Is a member of the MRB team in determining the disposition of materials for the Supply Chain department.
Demonstrated ability to proactively address and resolve employee performance issues.
Good organizational and time-management skills to prioritize and complete competing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Understanding of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 and Compliance.
Ability to effectively use M/S Office, Power Point, Word, or Excel (or their equivalent).
Overtime on weekdays and Saturdays may be required, with short notice, to meet customers’ requirements.
Education and/or Experience Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, plus minimum of two-years of post-High School education and/or training; or any combination of the above that would provide required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the assigned job duties.
Minimum of 1-year experience in a lead person or supervisory position demonstrating the leadership skills required to drive continuous improvement.
Language Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills Basic mathematic skills.
Reasoning Ability Requires ability to work with others in the department to share specific knowledge of products, processes, and/or procedures to continuously make improvements.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT WORK ENVIRONMENT This position may work in various environments including office or factory setting.
60% in Material storage areas, 40% Office environment.
Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 100+ pounds with assistance.
Must wear eye protection where required.
Optional safety belt while lifting heavy objects (over 25 pounds) is available.
