QC Inspector 2

The QC Inspector is responsible for performing daily inspections on the manufacturing lines to monitor the quality of the merchandise being produced.
The QC Inspector communicates quality issues to line supervisors and production management so immediate adjustments can be made to meet standards, verifies product produced meets the requirements set forth by the merchandising groups and all products meet the requirements of the established critical control points and are correctly labeled.
The QC Inspector writes daily inspection reports to capture information for the multiple manufacturing areas and diverse product lines, perform inspections on materials critical to the uninterrupted operation of the Harry & David Companies.
This position is responsible for placing materials on hold when product does not meet requirements.
Requirements: Must be able to work in cooler or freezer for short periods of time Must be able to stand/walk/climb stairs 8-10 hours per day Must be able to work a flexible schedule with some overtime and weekends Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
30lb max frequently/ occasional 50lbs.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred 12 months+ quality control experience in a food environment preferred Must have Valid Oregon Driver's License and a good driving record Demonstrated comprehension skills are required in order to understand general label requirements, lot code formats, procedures, diagrams, flow charts and written specifications.
