As a wallpaper installer, your job is to measure a wall or ceiling, cut wallcovering to fit, and install the paper, vinyl, or fabric coverings.
You may work in both residential and commercial spaces, and a significant amount of your work is done in new construction.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Remove old materials, prepare surfaces, and work at various heights while carrying tools and equipment.
Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
Measure a wall or ceiling, cut wallcovering to fit, and install the paper, vinyl, or fabric coverings.
Mixing and applying pastes, trimming wallcovering at floor and ceiling levels.
Ensuring the wallpaper lays smoothly against the wall.
Work in both residential and commercial spaces.
Being a team player.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Experience required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions.
Experience working with hand and power tools.
Construction safety knowledge and certification.
