We offer training programs for our staff along with a great employee benefit package! *Shop Lead/Foreman * * *Supervision*: The shop lead oversees the daily activities of the repair shop.
They manage a team of mechanics and technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
* *Quality Control*: They maintain high standards of repair quality.
This includes inspecting completed work, verifying compliance with manufacturer specifications, and addressing any deficiencies.
* *Technical Expertise*: A shop lead should have in-depth knowledge of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other machinery.
They may also perform hands-on repairs when necessary.
* *Inventory Management*: Managing inventory levels, ordering parts, and ensuring the availability of necessary tools and equipment.
* *Training and Development*: Providing training to mechanics, keeping them updated on new repair techniques, safety procedures, and industry trends.
* *Customer Service*: Handling customer inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
* *Reporting*: Regularly reporting to shop managers on shop performance, repair completion, and any issues.
* *Safety Compliance*: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe work environment.
* *Shop Organization*: Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and security within the repair facility.
*Qualifications* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, safely and in alignment with Wilson Equipment standards.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· *Experience:* 10 years of equipment repair.
· *Technical Knowledge:* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
· *Leadership Abilities:* Strong Leadership skills.
Ability to guide and motivate a team.
· *Communication:* Excellent communication skills for interfacing with team members, customers, all departments, and management.
· *Problem -Solving:* Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find practical solutions.
· *Safety Awareness:* Familiarity with safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
· *Computer Literacy:* Comfortable using and/or learning software systems for work order management and reporting.
*EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE* Associates Degree from a fully accredited college in Diesel Technology or other closely related field; and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment service; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
