As an Extraction Technician, you will work closely with the processing team to extract and refine hemp oil for product manufacturing in our labs.
This includes production of crude, distillate, and any tasks set forth in the lab.
*Successful applicant will have extraction experience with Wiped Film Evaporation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to operating ethanol centrifuge, falling film evaporators, short path & WFE distillation, and filtration equipment used to extract and purify active compounds from plant material.
This position requires attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Perform duties necessary for continuous extraction operations.
· Participate in Safety Meetings and Training Sessions with Lab Team.
· Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform preventative maintenance as recommended by manufacturer and industry practices.
· Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
· Work with solvents and manufacturing ingredients to process raw materials (to include foods and environmental raw materials) through to extraction.
· Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Understand and follow all safety protocols including PPE, SDS, and HazMat.
· Monitor system operations and perform adjustments as required.
· Follow SOP’s and Record data for all procedures using computer systems or hard copy.
· Familiarity with basic scientific principles and production terminology.
· Read and follow manuals for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Basic math skills.
· Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals.
· Understanding and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations
· Manage Inventory and supply management for daily operations and end products
· ERP System Database
Ideal candidate will have valid experience in operating, setting up, and troubleshooting lab equipment.
*Qualifications:*
·Extraction experience with WFE and refining.
· Ability to understand the raw material/extraction/sterile filtration equipment and procedures.
· Manufacturing production and equipment operation experience is desired.
· Ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and elapsed time periods required.
· Mechanical aptitude desired.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs.
