Company Description Position Summary: This position requires leadership and communication skills to instruct, train, document and execute dojo objectives within the dojo cell and throughout the facility.

Job Description Duties and Responsibilities: Champion Standard Work and safe work practices by monitoring and observing associates working on the production/ shop floor and within the dojo cell and identifying hazards and effectively communicating those hazards and appropriate work practices to the associates.
Learn and understand job skills sets needed in specific areas of production and correspond those to Dojo training topics; communicating effectively with management to create training materials that drive continuous improvement, reduction of R&A costs and improved safety culture.
Review Standard Work documents to determine training applications within the dojo cell and work with appropriate parties to update and/or amend the Standard Work as needed.
Present MPS principles effectively through an interactive classroom environment.
Provide direction and feedback to associates and leadership regarding dojo practices and results.
Manage Continuous Improvement activities in Dojo cells to ensure sustainment of improvements.
Monitor, train and evaluate current and future production associates.
Provide constructive feedback and communication when issues are discovered that need to be addressed.
Maintain and promote positive attitude, teamwork, and cooperation.
Wear personal protective equipment as needed and effectively model safe work practices.
Provide effective and appropriate material handling instruction and training (Cabinets 101) in each department and computer usage and associated paperwork and transactions.
Provide effective and appropriate training and instruction in quality identification practices (Quality is Quiet), defect identification, DMR handling/transactions/processes, HMIS labeling and MSDS online access and data search.
Perform various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge and Experience: Bi-lingual encouraged Excellent attendance record with ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Must be adaptable/flexible with all work duties.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and support initiatives.
Demonstrated ability for direct and specific communications with Supervisors, other members of Management and production associates.
Self-motivated, articulate, and creative.
Demonstrated multi-tasking skills and management of multiple tasks.
Demonstrated understanding of TPM cards, SOS and other production floor controls.
Participation as a leader or team member in kaizen events with lean manufacturing knowledge and understanding.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Demonstrated ability for effectively training adults in manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of how to identify wood species and ability to instruct others on how to identify.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of defect identification, including how to identify where defect comes from so repairs/rework can be completed (Quality is Quiet).
Demonstrated ability for training adults regarding appropriate material handling in all areas, including training and instruction on Cabinets 101 content and components.
Demonstrated proficiency with DMR transactions and processes.
Demonstrate proficiency in operation of a digital camera, downloading pictures, and importing them into documentation.
Additional Information Work Environment: Office environment with frequent environmental exposure to low-grade radiation from computer monitors Manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to wood dusts, and cabinet-making related materials.
Exposure to hot and cold elements due to non-climate-controlled environment.
Wearing of Personal Protection Equipment required when on manufacturing floor: eye and ear protection.
Adherence to Entanglement clothing policy required.
