_ *Job Summary: * This position is responsible for promoting, developing, and overseeing compliance to the Organization’s ISO certified Quality Management System.
Effectively assures compliance to customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, procedures, and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.
*Essential duties and responsibilities* · Follow all safety rules and regulations, all work must be done thinking “Safety First”.
· Ensures compliance with customer requirements, company standards, quality policy, regulatory, and industry standards.
· Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; overseeing internal audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
· Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; initiating Corrective/Preventative Action Requests, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
· Accomplishes quality assurance human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
· Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
· Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
· Brings together staff of different disciplines and drives the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures.
· For all on -site positions, must show up to work to perform job duties.
· If ever working remote or hybrid model (from home, or offsite location), must be able to travel to LWS office when requested if any company needs arise.
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to work with and as a Team.
· Get along with others, not creating an offensive or hostile work environment.
· Able to lift up to 40 pounds and 41+ pounds as a two-person lift.
*Required Skills/Abilities:* · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, and personnel from various departments within the organization.
· Moderate level of proficiency with personal computers.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, talk and hear.
· Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
*Supervisory Responsibilities:* · Supervise staff of 2-5 Quality department associates.
*Travel:* · Travel may be required several times a year to other LWS offices, suppliers, and customer sites.
*Education and Experience:* · Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
