Position: Processing Technician I
Department: Production
Location: Williams Site, 20260 Williams, OR, 97544
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Pay: $17.
50 per hour plus a $2.
00/hr.

Summary: The Processing Technician I is responsible for the processing of fresh and dry herbs.
They ensure tasks are performed in a safe and sanitary manner following all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
This position is a VERY PHYSICAL POSITION due to the processing processes.
At-Will Employment: Herb Pharm is an ‘At-Will’ employer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Processing tasks of grinding raw herbs, pressing & filtering, and stirring & shaking extracts
Ability to mix herbs with solvents according to prescribed formulary.
Coordinates activities of Fill and Finish technicians by developing work schedules and coordinating team member duties.
Ensures all equipment is operating optimally.
Ability to document completed production steps on Batch Production Records (BPRs) and/or other manufacturing records in an accurate, legible, and timely manner in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Ability to detect issues and troubleshoot.
Promotes a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs.
Ensures a safe work environment by following and enforcing all safety rules, maintaining strong safety awareness, and participating in required safety training and meetings.
Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
A pre-employment physical is required prior to employment.
Ability to carry out detailed oral and/or written instructions.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time & heavy lifting required - Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Basic math and computer skills are necessary.
Must pay close attention to detail.
At least six months of related experience in manufacturing
Portions of this position is in a cGMP area, therefore masks, lab coats and hair/beard nets must be worn.
No makeup, perfumes, acrylic or artificial nails, or jewelry allowed in cGMP work areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
At least six months of related experience in manufacturing.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business SOP’s, and technical procedures.
Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
Strong attention to detail.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts, and to understand communications from others.
Ability to maintain composure, listen and respond appropriately.
Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.
