If you are dedicated, hardworking and have a passion for helping others, ACCESS is the place for you!_ *Position Summary* The Veteran Services Program Supervisor oversees a team of employees within a multidisciplinary framework.
Specifically, they supervise the staff members of this team that provide administrative support to program leadership and staff, handle program intake, and perform other duties related to housing stabilization and healthcare navigation for program participants.
Our programs cater to diverse populations, including seniors, people with disabilities, and those experiencing or are at-risk of houselessness.
The ideal candidate should have experience serving those who may have struggled with dealing with houselessness, substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and trauma.
This position will offer advanced trauma-informed support to the staff members they supervise.
*Position Duties & Responsibilities* · Directly supervise employees to ensure high quality intake processes are followed to ensure eligible participants have equitable experience and access to support services.
· Approve all intakes and work with Case Management Program Supervisor to ensure all cases get assigned to appropriate case management staff.
· Ensure all program support processes are well-defined and accurately followed.
· Work with program leadership in the development, implementation and program evaluation of any initiatives that help support housing stabilization for program participants.
· Implement and train staff on evidence-based service delivery and trauma-informed practices.
· Assist in the interview and hiring process for employees.
Plan, train, assign, and direct work.
· Provide a positive, trauma-informed, thoughtful, focused approach, embracing consistency, attention to detail, and creativity.
· Work as a team with Leadership and the Finance Compliance Manager to develop work plans for State and Federal programs.
· Have shared responsibility with all Veteran Services leadership for team cohesion.
· Ensure that all client data is properly entered into data collection system such as the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) or any system that is currently being utilized by running data quality and other reports to evaluate staff data entry and program evaluation.
· Implement and maintain annual budgeting and track spending and metrics across programs.
Support the finance and compliance in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports programs.
Assist in evaluating programs for effectiveness.
· As needed, facilitate referrals to other services (e.
g.
, substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources).
· Work closely with the Leadership to identify staff training and development opportunities.
· Provide a positive, trauma-informed, thoughtful, focused approach, embracing consistency, attention to detail, and creativity.
*Position Requirements* · Belief in ACCESS’ mission to help provide food, warmth, and shelter.
· Demonstrated experience working with issues related to houselessness, substance abuse, mental health, and history of trauma.
· Bachelor’s degree in social services or similar field; the equivalent of work experience in social service leadership may be substituted.
· 2 plus years supervisory experience in a similarly complex environment.
· Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure and time sensitive environment.
· Ability to provide training, orientation, consultation, and guidance to client facing staff who will be serving a highly vulnerable population.
· Excellent computer skills and proficiency in software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office products and web-based applications.
High proficiency in using Excel Spreadsheets to track and report data efficiently and meaningfully is needed.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers and co-workers and sustain participant and interdepartmental confidentiality.
· Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while working with people that are in difficult situations.
· This position is required to have a work issued cell phone (in lieu of a cell phone other similar options are available per the agency Cell Phone Election Form).
· A valid Oregon driver’s license with a record that is acceptable under ACCESS’ insurance policies.
