We have multiple openings for Certified Medical Assistants looking to be part of fast-paced Patient Centered Primary Care teams.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) is a critical part of the primary care team and works closely with the primary care provider, nurses, wellness coach, and other team members.
Training and experience in working in primary care as part of a multidisciplinary team are desired.

The role of the Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) is to act as a healthcare professional, performing clinical duties and managing administrative tasks.
Responsibilities include the following: Demonstrates competency in all areas of administrative and clinical duties of a Medical Assistant - Advanced Using computer applications and electronic health records to accurately update patient medical records Processing prescription refills as directed by a provider Supporting patients in scheduling and follow up of medical appointments Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy calls or routes as appropriate Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment, instruments and supplies Assisting the provider during exams/procedures Provides treatments including but not limited to vaccines, EKG’s and laboratory testing as ordered Give instructions/patient education to patients as instructed by provider Maintains all patient and employee information as confidential following all HIPAA policies Education and/or Experience: Required: Minimum: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant – certified by the National Association of Medical Assistants (or other approved certification programs) Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) Able to type a minimum of 40 WPM Able to use basic computer software applications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or one-two years clinical experience in a medical office Skilled at using electronic health records as applicable to area of work (EPIC preferred) Bilingual in English and Spanish Benefits Include the Potential for the Following: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Voluntary Accident, Short Term Disability, and Critical Illness Insurance 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan with Available Company Match Licensure Renewal Fees Organization Paid Standard Life Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) Wellness Programs Such as Cooking, Zumba, Yoga, and Gardening Personal and Professional Development Seminars Equity Statement: At La Clinica, we commit to engage everyone in a welcoming, respectful, and loving way and to maintain the dignity and value of all people above everything else.
