Also features a quick release by hooking the ao lever over the short pawl and completing the down-stroke of the lever.
This style jack was commonly called a"track jack" or "track (trip) jack" and was used extensively by the railroads.
Very handy for lifting other heavy things like shipping contains, houses, etc.
