If you are dedicated, hardworking and have a passion for helping others, ACCESS is the place for you!_ *Position Summary* Under the guidance of the Chief Advancement Officer, the Grant Relationship Manager is responsible for working with Department Directors in all areas of grants and for analyzing data to assist ACCESS in telling the story of the community.
The Grants Manager is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports that support agency goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria.
This person serves as the primary grant writer, manages funder relationships, engages in compliance reporting, and supports special project initiatives.
Relationships are key to ACCESS and this position is responsible for identifying, establishing, growing, and maintaining relationships.
This position will have the responsibility of management for direct reports relating to monitoring/compliance of grants and grant writing.
*Position Duties & Responsibilities* · Supervising grants staff, including Grants Supervisor and Fiscal Compliance & Grants Analyst.
· Leading and overseeing grant proposal development and submission, including preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring grant applications.
· Building and maintaining relationships with funders and strategic partners at the local, state, and national levels.
· Working with Directors to create programmatic and operational strategic funding plans for grants.
Determining the needs for current and growth plan funding to write and develop grant strategies and identify funding gaps.
Coordinating with Leadership team on current program needs and growth goals.
· Drafting proposals/LOIs and grant application narratives and collaborating with program leadership to develop program/project budgets.
· Overseeing Master Grant Agreement, including Request for Applications, subrecipient applications, onboarding, and serving on the rating and ranking committees, as needed.
· Meeting with funders and staff to explore funding opportunities and fulfill site visit requirements.
· Researching new funding and business development opportunities and trends on a local, state, and federal level.
· Managing master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence.
· Managing library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, IRS forms, Board/staff diversity lists, etc.
· Ensuring acknowledgment of funders/investors via website, e-newsletter, and social media.
· Maintaining grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budgets—taking responsibility for meeting high standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness.
· Monitoring and maintaining funder and investor reporting schedules and requirements.
· Tracking progress toward organizational and programmatic outcomes and goals.
· Drafting compelling progress reports and targeted program updates (e.
g.
blog posts, press releases, FB and twitter posts) to funders that fully capture programmatic success.
· Researching statistics, trends and data for grant proposals and community advocacy.
· Preparing and giving presentations to various stakeholder groups.
· Preparing collaborative applications for USDA, Veterans Administration, and other collaborative initiatives as needed.
· Managing and updating Oregon Community Foundation profile, Grants Database, etc.
· Mapping grant proposals to the agency strategic plan and verify alignment of ask with stated agency needs.
· Developing strategies to improve grant department processes, including subrecipient billing.
* Overseeing grants monitoring and analyzing financial data to ensure budget completeness and true cost programmatic and indirect cost allocations.
* Assisting in preparing annual CSBG Reporting.
*Position Requirements* * Belief in ACCESS’ mission to provide food, warmth, and shelter.
* Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant professional experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in grant writing and grants management and 2 plus years of supervisory or management experience.
* Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience.
* Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner.
* Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with donor development/CRM software systems a plus.
* Familiarity and experience working with national, governmental and Oregon funders a plus.
* Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality.
* A valid Oregon driver’s license with a record that is acceptable under ACCESS’ insurance policies.
* This position is required to have a work issued cell phone (in lieu of a cell phone other similar options are available per the agency Cell Phone Election Form).
