Job Title: Sales Support Specialist
Department: Procurement & Planning
Location: Pacific Botanicals
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Summary: The Sales Support Specialist role plays an essential role in helping drive and maintain sales at Pacific Botanicals.
This role is responsible for maintaining customer relations, optimizing new sales opportunities, working with marketing to execute sales campaigns, running sales reports, and logistics.
This position provides significant experience in many sales and supply chain functions and the opportunity to develop skills in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Work with Senior Supply Chain manager to identify potential sale/promotion inventory opportunities.
Work with Supply Chain Manager to drive and maintain customer contracts.
Execute on sales/promotions; maintaining reports to gauge on success of initiatives.
Establish and maintain customer relations for vendors and customers.
Keep up to date on current market trends, to identify opportunities to capture sales based on inventory.
Assist with logistics for outgoing orders.
Develop cost-effective strategies for purchasing material, conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvements.
Inputting accurate orders into ERP system.
Measure sales performance against the plan.
Develop or maintain financial reports, analytics and metrics.
Align sales with sourcing activities.
Align sales with inventory planning and/or the demand schedule.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 + years related experience and/or training
Demonstrated of experience with sales and marketing
Experience utilizing ERP systems, MRP programs, and good practices for sales associates
Technical Requirements:
Proficiency in Office365, fluent in Excel
Experience with database management, presentation development and word processing software
Qualifications & Requirements:
Maintain professional and technical knowledge of current trends, practices and developments in the profession.
Understand business systems, to develop pertinent sales reports.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience.
Strong attention to detail with excellent research and troubleshooting skills.
Assist with efficient team operation and continuous process improvement, by participating actively in all team and departmental meetings as requested.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects to completion.
Well organized, with the ability to set priorities and meet reasonable deadlines.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to practical situations.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect research data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to handle complex telephone communications and/or Team-centered work situations; well-developed questioning, listening, and strong negotiating skills.
Ability to deal professionally with unhappy or unpleasant vendors or customers, resolving most problems and conflicts with a win-win approach.
