Position Overview
The Development Associate will play a key role in providing administrative support for the entire Development team.
The Development Associate will support onsite office supply organization and making donors that arrive feel welcome.
Additionally, A critical function of the role is the ability to be onsite at the Ashland campus.
The position reports to the Director of Development Operations and Analytics.
Pay rate: $20.
00 per hour Organizational Background The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) was founded in 1935 in Ashland, OR, and has grown from a three-day festival of two plays to a nationally renowned theatre arts organization that presents a rotating repertory season of up to 10 plays and musicals, including illuminating interpretations of Shakespeare, other enduring classics, and new works.
OSF productions have been presented on Broadway, internationally, and at regional, community, and high school theatres across the country.
OSF received the 1983 Special Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre and is one of the largest nonprofit theatres in the nation with three stages, including an outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**): Provides administrative support to the entire development team.
Maintain Development and Donations Inbox and correspond with donors.
Enter contributions, pledges, and payments into Tessitura database according to OSF policies and procedures.
Coordinate donor acknowledgment communications, including running reports, merging letters and emails, facilitating gift officer review and personalization, printing, coordinating signatures, and mailing letters.
Enters information (donor contact logs, pledge details, research from wealth screenings, biographical information, etc.
) into Tessitura database according to OSF policies and procedures.
Completes occasional prospect research projects.
Oversee supply inventory for Direct Mail, Acknowledgments, etc… Oversee office organization in collaboration with Development Team members.
Maintain the integrity of the donor database and keep accurate database records of donor information and documents pertaining to donor gifts.
Attends weekly meetings with Development department and cross-department teams at OSF as needed.
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA): Attends IDEA, sexual harassment, and any other anti-bias training and workshops as scheduled by the institution.
Uphold IDEA values and goals in all of OSF’s fundraising practices.
Model and support the mission and values of OSF Other Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned by the Development team leaders This position works 5 days a week (M-F) on-site in office 9-5:30pm with occasional special events that take place over the weekends during our season Supervision Received: Director of Development Operations and Analytics Supervision Exercised: N/A Work Experience: 2 + years of work experience in customer service, nonprofit fundraising, and/or administrative roles.
Qualifications/skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and with volunteers.
Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Strong Technical computer skills.
Ability to adapt to changing and evolving organization.
Physical Ability: Work is performed in an office environment and, at times, is sedentary in nature.
Some work is performed before, during, and after special events.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Engage in talking, sitting, hearing, and repetitive movement associated with keyboarding.
Special Hours Requirements: Flexibility to work evening/weekend hours when supporting stewardship events
