Position Summary The Patient Safety Monitor primarily assists with providing a safe environment to a specific patient through visual observation.
The need for a Patient Safety Monitor is initiated and ordered by the attending physician or per hospital policy and in this role, will be responsible for providing customer service to the patient and as well as notifying the appropriate primary nurse and/or charge nurse of safety issues or concerns.
Qualifications Experience Previous work or volunteer experience doing customer service type tasks, such as answering questions and communicating information is required Certifications/Courses BLS : Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start Asante Crisis Intervention course must be completed within 30 days of hire Asante Safe Patient Handling course must be completed within 30 days of hire What We Offer Our Flexible Workforce (Per diem/On-call) Competitive starting wage An additional 15% on top of the base hourly rate (if not an employee already in a benefited position) Benefit option available through the Asante Flexible Workforce plan Excellent retirement package with up to a 6% employer contribution About Asante and Southern Oregon Asante is a local, community owned and governed, not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care services to more than 550,000 people in a nine-county area of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
