Position Summary The Payroll Specialist 1 processes and distributes payroll and payroll information in a timely and accurate manner while meeting all Federal and State regulations as well as Asante policies.
As a Payroll Specialist for Asante, you will have the opportunity to: Process Bi-Weekly payrolls to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages to all Asante employees Provide payroll and productivity information to managers and other employees to enable them to perform their jobs more effectively Process termination, retro and correction check requests made between pay dates to ensure accurate and timely payments Attend department meetings, actively participate in discussions and offer suggestions to resolve problems and improve procedures Attend any available training to promote knowledge of pay practices and increase knowledge of software systems Deliver outstanding customer service to meet the needs of external and internal customers Qualifications Education High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required Associate degree in business administration, accounting or related field, preferred Experience Minimum 2 years of relevant clerical/administrative experience, including experience working with payroll, time and attendance and scheduling systems, is required What We Offer Competitive starting wage Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and wellness Excellent retirement package with up to 6% employer contribution Generous Earned Time Off Tuition reimbursement after one year of service About Asante and Southern Oregon Asante is a local, community owned and governed, not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive health care services to more than 550,000 people in a nine-county area of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
