Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) – Satellite Branch

*Title: **Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) – Satellite Branch* *General Description:* Managed Healthcare Pharmacy, a Eugene-based long-term care pharmacy, is opening a satellite branch in Medford, Oregon and is seeking a Pharmacist-In-Charge for this location.
The PIC is integral to the operation and wellbeing of the pharmacy, oversees the Pharmacy Team, and is responsible for the quality of pharmaceutical services and medical products provided to our customers.
The Satellite PIC will oversee the Medford location, and will be under the guidance of the PIC in our main Eugene pharmacy.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of opening a new branch of an established pharmacy that has been providing a premium service to our clients for over 30 years.
This is a full-time, benefitted position, working an estimated 30+ hours per week.
*Anticipated Shift: *Weekdays, rotating Saturday.
Approximate hours are 10:00AM-6:30PM, but are subject to change.
*Required Skills:* * Must be a Registered Pharmacist licensed in the State of Oregon.
* Proficient in all the duties of a Pharmacist-in-Charge.
* Extensive knowledge of the retail and institutional pharmacy business.
* Knowledge of the long-term care and community-based care business.
* Demonstrate computer literacy, especially with pharmacy, Windows-based, and communication software.
* Effective communicator—both verbal and written—in-person and remotely with the main pharmacy.
* Possess good people skills and creative problem-solving skills.
* Work effectively in a team/group environment.
* Must be self-motivated with a high sense of accountability, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
* Be able to effectively manage people, activities, events, and details.
*Duties Include (but are not limited to):* * Comply with all federal and state laws, rules and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy and the delivery of medical equipment and supplies.
* Perform the Pharmacist-in-Charge duties per the Oregon Board of Pharmacy’s Administrative Rules.
* Conduct an annual compliance OR Board of Pharmacy audit on or before July 1st, complete any required paperwork, and meet with the BOP to review it.
* Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy team in daily operations of the pharmacy including, but not limited to, supervision of technician work, optimizing workflow, including the timely filling and delivery of daily and cycle fill prescriptions.
* Review and ensure quality of new prescription orders (dailies).
* Review and ensure quality of ongoing maintenance medications (cycle fill).
* Maintain the required record keeping and inventory as required by the OR Board of Pharmacy.
* Ensure the security and safety of the pharmacy and its products as required by the OR Board of Pharmacy.
* Verify annually the licensure of Pharmacists and Technicians.
* Develop and maintain quality assurance plan, as well as policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
* Coordinate with the Inventory Technician to manage and maintain the pharmacy inventory.
* Provide the Management Team with customer feedback on the effectiveness and quality of our services.
* Coordinate with management to hire and train new pharmacists and technicians as needed and as appropriate for their duties.
* Support the Management Team as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
