In-home CNA/caregiver for Male with quadriplegia (Eagle Point)

Seeking CNA for Male Quadriplegic (Eagle Point, OR) Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/every other Wednesday 6:30 a.
m to 1:30 p.
m (adjustable) Compensation: $21 – $23 per hour Employment type: Part-Time/Contract Valued Caregiver, Healthy man in his early 60s with quadriplegia needs CNA/Caregiver to join support staff.
Candidate with experience working with clients having paralysis is preferred, however not required.
This is an ideal position for an individual wishing to expand their health-related profession.
We are financially structured to hire a CNA/Caregiver who can work as an independent contractor, being responsible for their own taxes (assistance is provided).
Payroll is accomplished weekly.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: including but not limited to the following: Assist with the following Activities of Daily Living: • Exercise/Stretching; Range of Motion (ROM) • Catheter care • Undressing and Dressing • Assist with mobility, transferring; operate transfer equipment/motorized ceiling lift • Positioning in power chair seating system • Meal Prep and Feeding Assistance • Medication and Hygiene Assistance • Support social activities and emotional needs.
• Driving Braun conversion minivan to medical appointments and errands.
• Light Cleaning (e.
g.
bedroom(s), kitchen, laundry) • The above duties are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to define minimum activities.
These duties may be altered to suit evolving needs.
Qualifications and Job Skills Requirements This position requires a hands-on professional and who has the following qualifications: • High school graduate required; CPR certification preferred • CNA required • Good writing and communication skills to work effectively with the client and the people on his team • Experience working with paralysis is preferred • Ability to work in a team and partnership-oriented environment • Detailed oriented and exceptionally patient • Empathic and open-minded bedside manner • Computer and administrative skills Physical Demands Will be required to lift/roll up to 40 lbs.
Requires basic house work, including sitting, walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, bending and operating motorized transfer lift.
Having confidence in your physical strength and agility is necessary (please take this thought seriously).
