Mercy Flights is accepting applications for a Full-Time Employee Health Specialist position.
Position Information:
The role of the Employee Health Specialist is to provide support in the key areas listed below and to act as a team member to the Safety & Emergency Preparedness department and a collaborator with the Human Resources team, while delivering high quality customer service to internal and external customers.
This position performs duties related to the development and administration of employee health matters, as well as other duties as assigned.
This position will also assist the Safety Officer & Emergency Preparedness Supervisor with drafting documents and policies, performing research, compiling data, creating reports, along with other duties as assigned.
This role requires the employee to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and security of personnel, payroll, and company records.
Hours: 40 hours/week (non-exempt), Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Starting Pay rate: market comparable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for having and maintaining knowledge that ensures legally compliant and best practice procedures and processes for Employee Health related administration duties.
Create, revise, and recommend employee health procedures and guidelines that are based on current legal compliance and workplace best practice measures.
Responsible for administration and recordkeeping of Infection Control related matters including employee symptom follow-up and tracking, and consulting with Human Resources on employee return to work.
Oversee and track vaccination and immunizations including COVID-19, influenza, TB, Hep-B and others required for health care providers.
Participates in the workers’ compensation process and administration of claims.
Responsible for employee occupational health oversight and tracking of drug screens, physical examinations, and functional evaluations.
Responsible for administration of the Respiratory Protection Program and employee respiratory fit testing.
Responsible for ergonomic evaluations and follow-up.
Responsible for developing and maintaining Job Hazard Analysis for all positions.

Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required;
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in employee health, occupational health, and/or a health care setting is required.
Previous experience working in EMS is preferred.
