Our office works as a high energy team that is consistently growing and improving.
_Position Description/Summary:_
The physical therapist assistant (PTA) works closely with a supervising Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to provide quality, evidence-based patient care.
Interventions that a PTA may perform includes, but is not limited to, therapeutic exercise, traction, massage/soft tissue manipulation, ultrasound, electrotherapy, balance and gait training, motor learning/development, and patient/family education.
The PTA will be encouraged to work semi-independently and make their own clinical decisions while providing appropriate patient care within the guidelines of the DPT’s treatment plan.
The PTA will also assist in gathering information about the patient's presenting complaints, as well as response to treatment, including both subjective and objective information.
This information will be documented in the patient's electronic medical record.
