```Job Overview``` We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Director to join our team.
As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities and events for our residents.
Your role will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents.
```Duties``` - Develop and implement a variety of recreational programs and activities for residents - Coordinate and schedule social events, and entertainment - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a well-rounded activity program - Provide individualized attention to residents, taking into account their interests and abilities - Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed - Plan and organize special events, such as holiday parties or themed celebrations - Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members ```Experience``` To be successful in this role, you should have: - Previous experience in caregiving or a related field - Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and techniques - Familiarity with senior care, including dementia care and memory care - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of varying cognitive abilities - Understanding of aging issues and the ability to provide counseling when needed If you are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors through engaging activities and events, we would love to hear from you.
