SALARY: $49,638.
36-$92,138.
12 (DOE) Hiring Bonus: All new hire teachers that are properly licensed and endorsed (meaning- not on an emergency license, restricted license, or with a conditional assignment endorsement) will receive the signing bonus.
For staff that are not properly licensed or endorsed, they shall receive the bonus once properly licensed/endorsed (within three years of hire) and will be paid as defined below as much as possible.
This bonus will not be extended to current District teachers or former District teachers (including retirees) who left the district in the last five years.
The signing bonus will be paid in three payments: Year one (1): $2,500; Year two (2): $1,500; and Year three (3) $1,000.
Insurance: Generous Health, dental, and vision contribution from the district, currently up to $2,130 (based upon family coverage), TBD for 2024-2025.
PERS Retirement: The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.
SCHEDULE: 190 Days + 3 days new teacher inservice Conger Elementary School is looking for a dynamic and passionate Dean of Students to work with a high-needs population of students.
We are looking for a dedicated professional willing to learn and grow as educators to bring the best possible education to our students and support them around attendance and behavioral support.
This position will begin for the 24-25 school year.
Job Duties: Assist staff in defining and measuring behavior, understanding principles of reinforcement; teaching new behavior, implementing strategies for weakening undesirable behavior, and identifying antecedents.
Facilitate team meetings with identified student’s teachers and parents for the purpose of supporting collaborative problem-solving in behavioral domains and attendance.
Facilitate team meetings that design Behavior Interventions Plans; address classroom organization, effective instruction, social skills instruction, and equity issues.
Promote highly specialized positive behavior interventions in which “at risk” students thrive: behavior instruction that is explicit, intensive, accelerated and provides ample practice.
Use ongoing data to maintain a record of student progress.
Work cooperatively with building administrator to promote positive-student behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support teachers in their implementation of positive behavior support in their classrooms.
Continually supervise students to ensure a safe, non-threatening, nurturing environment where students can thrive.
Support restorative practices through conflict resolution and peer mediation sessions Consult KFCS staff, District Behavior Specialists, and Learning Specialists.
Requirements: Hold or qualify for an Oregon teaching license through Teacher Standards and Practices Commission with an ECE/ELE endorsement.
