Duties Spokane position duties: Manage engineering program and projects on the district.
Coordinate projects with district and state office staff, contracting, vendors, & Architect and Engineering Companies for successful completion of projects.
Provide on site assessments and manage district Facilities and Asset Management System data which is critical for budgeting process.
Supervise Outdoor Recreation Specialist and volunteers.

Provide technical competencies for engineering work.
Medford position duties: Work under the direction of the Supervisory District Engineer.

Successfully completed a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Successfully completed a full 4-year course of study leading to a Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering that included differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five (5) of the following seven (7) areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

Completed 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, and that included the courses specified in B above.
These courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of an engineering program.

Successfully completed a curriculum leading to a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field such as engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology AND have at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
This must include either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.
g.
, in interdisciplinary positions.

Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

Currently registered as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

-AND- ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT Specialized Experience GS-12 : Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing 3 or more of the following: (1) providing engineering analysis, recommendations, or study conclusions to management or other stakeholders; (2) conducting technical and/or peer reviews of engineering designs, drawings, analyses, or documents; (3) reviewing technical procedures related to the areas of construction management, geotechnical, highways, hydraulics, hydrologic, or structural engineering; and (4) conducting inspections to ensure compliance of project requirements, contracts, or database operation.
Status merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-11 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level.
