The System Support Analyst is responsible for monitoring system processes, resolution of system imbalances of inventory between systems, troubleshooting exceptions, and reporting system issues through the IT Service Desk as needed.
It also includes supporting efforts to resolve, test, and implement system solutions and enhancements.
The Analyst will coordinate with Inventory Planning, Production and fulfillment teams to perform inventory adjustments to support efficiently aligning Direct Marketing sellable inventory.
This requires excellent communication with work teams to keep systems in-sync.
In cooperation with IT and user groups, provide requirement analysis and maintenance of system resources.
This includes the retrieval of information from multiple data sources, ad hoc analytical support, conducting system testing for new functionality and providing user training and documentation for such systems.
This position also acts as a catalyst to others in the creative use of these programs and enthusiastically supports the efforts of others to utilize the information available and assist them in learning the reporting tools.
Responsibilities: Resolve inventory imbalances between sellable inventory in the order management system, fulfillment system and warehouse systems.
Coordinate with IT and user group partners to design, develop, and implement solutions.
Gather information about reporting needs by following the operational workflow of a group.
Determine how various department functions support and impact other areas, or can be used to support other areas.
Must possess exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to follow-up, perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, respond to changing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
Coordinate with Test group to script scenarios for testing and execute test plans.
Produce training and systems documentation and facilitate user training.
Assist with testing of software updates for I.
T.
prior to roll out for company-wide use.
Requirements: Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PC skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
An excellent understanding of SAP/ ERP and EWM systems.
An aptitude to learn additional systems as they are developed.
Examples are Oracle Order Management System (OMS), Warehouse System (OWM), Transportation Management System (TMS).
Requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with various departments, and to explain complicated systems issues to user groups.
Must be able to read and understand technical reference material for MS Office applications, external carrier system requirements, software application reference manuals.
Levels of communication within the company: generally, from hourly to Director level Requires communication outside of company with technical support.
