1988 Chevy Silverado 2wd - 350 Auto
216,982 Miles.
I put over $3500 into the truck over the last 3 years but I was injured at work and cannot do anything more with it right now.
There are some other issues as it is an older truck so I'll tell you the bad stuff 1st.
Runs and drives strong but the drive and overdrive clutch pack is blown in the transmission.
It will move fine in 1st, 2nd and reverse as it is.
The headliner is gone; the seat is ripped; the seat belts won't stay latched; one door strap is ripped and needs replaced.
However, it has always been a strong runner but may need minor adjustments to the fuel and air intake since it's been sitting all winter.
The positives are that the exhuast is all-new from the headers back.
I replaced the battery, alternator, plugs, wires, distributor, wiper motor, fuel pump, and steering column.
I also had some wiring repaired professionally under the hood and the driver door locks repaired.
The power windows work fine with the aftermarket motor that was installed at a garage.
The frame, steering components, and body are all really solid.
I understand it needs things, but maybe you or someone you know has a junker that you can get the parts from.
I'm hoping to find someone that will appreciate the potential there.
If you are familiar, you know these trucks run forever aside from blowing transmissions and general maintenance.
If you want to make offers please do.
I won't respond to people who are rude, childish, or randomly insulting.
It's the 700R4 model transmission that needs repaired or replaced.
If you are serious please let me know.
Thank you.
